Experiences: Being an educator never ends. Extending my day into the evening is the norm to grade, prepare lessons, and reflect teaching practices. Tutoring is a natural extension of that passion. I have taught high school English courses for the past 15 years including: American Literature, Sophomore Literature, Sports Literature (a class I created and wrote the curriculum for), Oral Communications, Basic English II and II, Teen Leadership. I served as department chairperson for three years in my building. I was honored to be named USD 231 Teacher of the Year in 2010.
