In 2001, I completed my bachelor's degree in English at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. In the near future, I would like to continue my education and work toward earning a master's degree. I am a very energetic and upbeat individual who finds it very rewarding when my students begin to understand the material. My favorite subjects to tutor are writing and math -- more specifically, pre-algebra, algebra, arithmetic, English, composition, and reading. I love math and numbers and love how mathematical equations have precise answers. I strive to show my students that writing is the perfect opportunity to express yourself. For those who need extra help, I offer my services throughout the summer too. My teaching philosophy encompasses the idea that learning should never be a daunting task. It should be fun, fulfilling, and provide you with a sense of accomplishment. To me, learning provides opportunities to make your life and your world a better place. Without education, we wouldn't be able to care for ourselves and our lives would probably be incredibly boring. When I have free time, I spend it with my family playing board games, rollerblading, or at our church volunteering. I have been married to my husband for fourteen years and have two children who are 7 and 10 years old. We also have two adorable dogs.
